This special tour focuses essentially on the volcanoes of Nicaragua and it's ideal for those who like to hike in the countryside and learn all there is to learn about these impressive natural monuments. We'll stay overnight in regular hotels but also, and to enhance the experience, we'll stay in camping grounds next to some of the volcanic craters. A renowned vulcanologist will come along to share his knowledge to make this exciting tour even more rewarding.

Some of the volcanoes we'll visit include The Cerro Negro, one of the youngest volcanoes in the world: the immense and active Telica crater; the volcanic island of Ometepe; the active Masaya volcano; the Apoyo lagoon which was formed on a crater lake, and the unique vegetation (cloud forest) of the Mombacho volcano.
